Guest Options

Visitor parking spaces
Visitor spaces which require a Cornell parking permit which can be purchased at the Information and Parking Booths at the four major entrances to the campus, or at our Customer Service Center at 116 Maple Avenue. Visitor permits cost $10 a day or $6 for four hours.

Metered parking spaces
Short-term parking areas that do not require a permit. Check the list of metered parking lots, time, limits, and rates.

Transit
Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) provides bus service throughout Tompkins County, Ithaca, and Cornell. Although we try to be as accomodating as possible to our visitors, parking is a limited commodity at Cornell. If transit can work for you it may be your best option. Or combine the two, park remotely on campus and use the abundant on-campus bus service to move around freely, inexpensively, and easily.

A map* showing visitor and metered parking areas may help you choose your best option.

Don't hesitate to call (607-255-PARK) or e-mail with any questions.

Hosting - Conference and Group Parking Information

Conferences may require a good deal of planning--the earlier the better. Even if you're expecting only a few people we can help.

As soon as you know when, where, and how many, call us at 255-4628 or e-mail us, we'll assist you in making the best plans possible. If your conference is large, consider using CU Transit charter buses to accommodate your guests.

Media

Members of the media who present a valid press identification card may request, at no charge, a media permit. This permit is available both at our office (116 Maple Avenue) and at the four information booths at the main entrances to the Cornell campus. Reporters for the Cornell Daily Sun are not eligible for a media permit and must use one of the special permits that have been issued to the Daily Sun. Media permits are valid in any regular parking space on campus; the only exceptions are handicap, reserved, and service spaces.
