OmniRide Refund Policy
- If you cancel your OmniRide privileges in writing within seven days of purchase, you’ll receive a refund for the purchase price, less a $10 fee.
- If you cancel your OmniRide privileges in writing within thirty days of purchase, you’ll receive a refund for the purchase price, less a $45 fee.
- If you purchased full-year, full-fee ($200) OmniRide privileges and cancel in writing no later than January 25, you’ll receive a refund for the spring semester.
There are no refunds issued on:
- Fall OmniRide privileges returned after November 15.
- Full-year, full-fee ($200) or Spring passes returned after March 31.
- OmniRide privileges during the last month in which they are valid.
- OmniRide privileges cancelled more than 30 calendar days after purchase, unless it’s full-year, full-fee ($200) privileges cancelled in writing no later than January 25.
Please Note: Bus access using the CU ID card, including night/weekend and OmniRide privileges, is paid for by Cornell University and is non-transferable.
Parking Permit Refunds
- A pre-paid permit is eligible for a refund if it is returned to Commuter and Parking Services by March 31.
- There are no refunds on annual permits after March 31.
- There are no refunds on Fall-semester permits returned after November 15.
- There are no cash refunds.
- Refunds will be based upon the amount of time for which the permit was valid and will correspond with the appropriate short- or long-term rate.
- Permits returned within 2 months or less will be charged the short-term rate and the balance refunded.
- All other refunds are determined by calculating the value of the remaining time left on the permit and taking a percentage of that total.
- If a permit was charged (to the Bursar), the account charged will be credited for any refund due.
- Refunds on permits which were paid for by check or cash will be processed through Cornell University Accounting and a check will be mailed to you. This process takes approximately two weeks.
