Additional books are available at a fee. To be eligible for Occasional Parker, you must be a regular (not temporary) Cornell employee receiving benefits.

Benefits
  • A thirty-day risk-free trial period.
  • Easy, routine renewals every six months.
  • Eligible for TDMP books of one-day permits, if you have a vehicle registered with the Transportation Office. Occasional Parkers may request two books of permits each year.
  • Cornell provides numerous support services, such as emergency ride (see below).
  • Excellent on-campus transit from parking areas; Cornell pays your fare anywhere in TCAT's "zone one" if you show your faculty/staff I.D. card.

TDMP Books of One-Day Permits
Faculty and staff participants in Occasional Parker may request two books of permits each year. These books of ten one-day, campus perimeter parking permits are valid in areas designated: A, CF, CP, E, K, ME, O, SA, R, T, TH, W, and WE. You can locate these areas on the faculty/staff parking map*. Occasional Parker participants have the option of buying one additional book every six months at a discounted price (currently $50).

Some TDMP participants, because of dependent- or child-care responsibilities, may be eligible for additional free books (faculty and staff only; see FamilyCare support service, below).

Emergency Ride
If a personal emergency arises during the workday and you need to get to your car, home, or elsewhere, call 255-0000 (5-0000 from a campus phone). Commuter and Parking Services will get you where you need to go. The service operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For a medical, fire, or police emergency dial 911.

FamilyCare
If you have documented dependent- or child-care responsibilities and you are a participant in OmniRide, RideShare, or Occasional Parker, you may be eligible to receive additional free books of one-day parking permits. To find out more call Commuter and Parking Services at 255-PARK.

Park and Ride
Parking in these lots is free. Park-and-ride lots are indicated on the TCAT Transit Map and listed here.
