Daily and Short Term Parking
If you are only bringing your car to campus for a day or less, the parking meters and daily parking permits may fit the bill. Please see our short-term parking map*, which shows the metered lots, short-term parking areas, and ten-minute drop zones.

All vehicles driven or parked on campus should be registered with Commuter and Parking Services. Registration is free.

Metered Parking
Cornell has numerous metered areas around campus. These areas have different prices and time limits; please visit the metered parking page for locations and details.

Short Term Permits

Short-term parking permits are available for sale at our information and parking boothsand at our office at 116 Maple Avenue (locations shown on map*). The prices for these permits are:

All-day permit: valid in Tier 1 and 2 areas and T lot, but not in metered spaces or in loading zones

$10.00*

Four-hour permit: valid in Tier 1 and 2 areas and T lot, but not in metered spaces or in loading zones

$6.00*
Loading permit (30 minute limit): valid loading zones and all legal parking spaces (except handicap and reserved) $3.00
*Price as of July 1, 2006.
 

Ten Minute Drop Zones

These areas require no permit to park, but do have a strict time limit. Use them to pick-up or drop-off passengers or packages.

 

FLEX Parking Areas

FLEX areas are available to Tier 6, Z, MT, and BUSN permit holders for up to two hours. A map of FLEX parking areas can be found here.
