Planning

Make parking planning an integral part of conference or visitor planning. As soon as you know when, where, and how many (from 1 on up), let Commuter and Parking Services know. Call us at 255-4628 or e-mail us, we'll assist you in making the best plans possible. If your conference is big enough, we can even tell you how to charter CU Transit buses to accommodate your guests. Even if you're expecting only a few people we can help.

General
Parking during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is provided to guests at regular permit prices-charged either to the individual or to a University department.

If you do not purchase conference parking permits in advance for your guests, we strongly recommend that you advise them to stop at a parking and information booth as they enter campus.

30-day advance notice If you are purchasing conference permits for your guests, you have a group of 10 or more, and you provide us with at least 30 days notice, you are entitled to a 50% discount when classes are not in session.

Less than 30-day advance notice Even if you give us less than 30 days notice, reduced rate conference parking permits may be available for your guests if:

  • The event is a memorial service
  • The university is donating space for a charitable or community function
  • The event is a special meeting (generally less than 4 hours) for which the university has invited dignitaries to campus (e.g., alumni, trustees, or public officials)
  • The event takes place during the weekend or parking is needed on a weekday, beginning after 4 p.m.
